Miles Ahead staff (Tim Innes, Tim Probasco, Mei Ling Starkey) visited Francis Bodden Girls Home after a recent beautification project. Although closed for renovations after a recent fire, there were able to see the wonderful fruits of 734 hours of volunteer work. On May 1 the site was a beehive of activity when 211 Cayman volunteers, including a significant number of young people, joined together in a service project to clean up and beautify the girls home as part of the Do Something World volunteerism campaign that is currently underway on the island.

The Do Something World campaign is being presented by Miles Ahead in partnership with the Cayman Ministers Association. The purpose of the Do Something World campaign, which was founded by former NFL player Miles McPherson, is to bring civic, business and church organizations together to love and serve the community, utilizing sustainable solutions. Through a two month volunteerism initiative, from 1 April to 31 May, the goal is to see hundreds of volunteers serving and addressing key social issues in the community, namely family, education and the environment.

Later that day, over 100 Miles Ahead staff and volunteers arrived in Cayman for the start of the Do Something Cayman ministry week tomorrow, which culminates with a 2 day festival on Fri May 14 – Sat May 15.
