Luke 10:12 Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest”. Today was a day of harvest for our team. We visited the George Hicks school for the second time this week to share with the remaining students that we didn’t get to yesterday. Between 2 assemblies and 16 intimate classroom visits we shared our testimony and the love of Christ with 1001 kids just today. From that number, we had 87 young, inspired and beautiful students commit their lives to Christ. So many powerful stories, and so much love was shared it’s hard to pick just one, but one of the most powerful ones my team mate David and I were blessed to be present for.

Today was a trip back to my childhood, experiencing the children’s innocence at all the primary schools.
The first school we attended was a Christian Private School. It was an amazing sight to see hundreds of children waving colorful streamers in the air as they sang, “Our Father’s House”. Dozens accepted Christ.
We spent the rest of the day at a public school. It was surprising how many already knew about the Lord. The ones who didn’t were eager to learn about Him. It was refreshing to speak freely about Jesus Christ at a public school to the students and staff. Seeing their excitement encouraged my team tremendously.
Most of the students already knew about the two-day festival and are bringing their friends and family! I have a feeling God is working on something BIG for Friday and Saturday seeing how many people already know about the festival…. I can’t wait to find out what He’s up to! ☺

How many of you can honestly say that P.E. was your favorite subject in school? For some students in the Cayman Islands, P.E. was just that, a fantasy free day. Today the Sports Ministry Team for the Do Something Campaign conducted an adrenaline filled variety sports clinic at George Hicks and Triple C School. The clinic focused on team building sports such as football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and skate boarding. Other activities involved badminton, kite flying, parachute, and jump ropes. The reaction to our presence was incredible. I wasn’t sure if it was the fact the we were new faces, foreigners, or because the students knew that they had the opportunity to play beyond the norm. As the crew introduced our selves and our specialties, you can almost tell what sports activities the kids were most interested in and how that differed between classes. Some classes were very passionate about soccer, others American football, some basketball, whatever the case may be the truth was they were very excited they had opportunity for the experience. For the most part most of the students already knew how to play the sports, we as a team basically served as guides and provided some form or teaching or pointers.

Today we went to Deaf Fellowship. What a great outcome! We had a great time meeting everyone and identifying their needs. They were very friendly Deaf. They are really hungry and needs something but they don’t know where to start. We will plan to meet with them one-on-one this week. Pray that God gives Michele and I wisdom to help provide what they need. And that it will be realistic to their situation. Many of them say they are coming to the Deaf culture workshop tomorrow so we are really excited about who will be in our audience. Pray that God will bless our presentation and that it will affect them in a powerful way so that it will spread through the rest of the island. We pray that God will really bless the Island and the people. Go ahead and click on the link to watch the link the Deaf introduce themselves to you personally!
As each of us woke up this morning we knew it would be a special day. With the amount of adversities we faced, we trusted in the Lord to lead our day. Considering this is a foreign country we had no idea what to expect of there prison system. As we pulled up to the dirt courtyard and the barbed wire fences each of our hearts started to race. Immediately an officer who would be our liaison for the day approached us.
Entering the prison we went through several locked gates and human checkpoints. Walking to our destination through several tan and aqua buildings we saw several inmates standing around. Our group headed to the chapel in hopes of bringing light to a dark place.

Today we visited the George Hicks middle school. We were greeted immediately by school administration who seemed so grateful for our visit and made us feel right at home. This cities people continued to amaze us with their warmth and hospitality all day. The kids reflected this same leadership, greeting us with kindness and questions the second we met. By the end of the first assembly we knew God had a purpose for our team. In our first altar call of the day, we had 80 kids come forward for prayer, rededication and love. After an amazing assembly, we were dispatched out to several classrooms. Our team mates Tia and Brittanee had an amazing experience that I think encompassed many of our best stories all in one. After speaking to the kids about the DO Something event, the basic principles of the 5 P’s and walking them through the AWCIPA prayer model, they casually suggested a bible study to help get plugged in. One young man, so fired up about the idea of
bible study, jumped out of his seat, waving his arms around saying…”I’ll DO IT!!! I”ll DO IT!!”. Young 12 year old Amado was on fire for the Lord. He wanted to know everything, and already had ideas on how to put their teachings to work. He told the team “I don’t want to waste another minute”. He immediately began gathering schoolmates emails and names to attend his bible study at lunch that very day. He asked Brittany for her contact information because ” I WILL have questions”. This young man was such an inspiration to our team and to his classmates, we all can’t wait so see the miracles this beautiful child will do in glorifying the Lord from his place in the Caymans. Our bus ride home was filled with stories of hope, joy and encouragement. Even the kids they “warned” us about came to us with open hearts and willing minds. It was abundantly clear that the Lord had already planted the seeds, and that we were just the fortunate ones to reap the
harvest. We all had our challenges, our salvations and our hearts doubled in size by the love of these precious children today. Praise God for this day to grow our faith by sharing our love of the One True God. I can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow with the high school kids.
